Melody

Scene I (when Daniel and Melody were in the graveyard)

Melody: May I have my bag, please?
           My friend Mulio,you know the big one.
           Well, she says you've been going around telling people that you love me.
           I don't mind it, it's just that people laugh at you, don't they?
           And if you have to tell some one, why not tell me?
          You made me always the last to know.

Daniel: ...
(Silence)

Melody: Nice here, isn't it?

Daniel: Yeah.

Melody: Mum doen't like coming here, but I'm not frightened, do you?

Daniel: No.

Melody: That grave ...,
           HERE LIES MY BELOVED AND BEAUTIFUL ELLA JANE McDavitt
           WIFE AND LIFE LONG FRIEND

Daniel: He must loved her very much.

Melody: 50 years' happieness, how long is 50 years?

Daniel: Erh... Mmm... 150 school terms, not including holidays.

Daniel: Of course, I've loved you a whole week already, haven't I?

Scene II (when Daniel and Melody were absent from shcool playing by the sea)

Melody: I should be doing English now, what would you be doing?
Daniel: Erh...don't know, Geography, I think.
Melody: I quite like Geography
Daniel: So do I...

Melody,
Melody: Yeah?
Daniel: Do you like New Maths?
Melody: They are ok.
Daniel: I think I like history best.
Melody: Erha...(horrible expression by Melody)
Daniel: Well... sometimes i like it, but mostly I hate it. (Hehe...)

Daniel: Shall we get married?

Melody: One day perhaps.

Daniel: How old do we have to be?

Melody: I don't know, as old as our parents, I suppose.

Daniel: If we wait that long, we must be old miseries. Most people I know are all miseries.

Melody: I honestly don't know, when you are older you suppose to know at all. Perhaps that would make so fed up.

Scene III (when Daniel and Melody wanted to get married)

Dad:    You really like this little man, do you?...Erh...Mm...It's fine, you know?
          We would look forwad to you bring your boy friend home.
          He seems a nice type of lad, there's just a little trouble though he's only a little lad
          and you're only a little girl, or the "little sunshine" that your Mum calls you.

Mum:  I know it's difficult for you to understand, love. People just don't get married at your age
         They generally will when they get older.

Melody: How old?

Dad: In the twenties, or older sometimes.

Melody: That's twice as old as I am now.

Dad: I know it is, love. It seems like yesterday that i was changing the nappies.

Melody: We know, but we want to be together now.

Dad: Erh...all school you get to do yet now, and you like school, don't you?
I've got your reports, we often look ...

Melody: I know, but I like being with Daniel more than I doing geography.

Dad: ...Sweetheart... there're lots of things we only explain to you yet about life and all sorts of things.

Melody: I know, but why is it so difficult when all I want to do is be happy.

Dad: We want you to be happy, love.

Melody: Then why can't you help me set key putting things in my why?

           I just can't understand it,
           I just can't think why it's so terrible. Please tell me cause i just don't understand.
           (Crying)
